NEW YORK IN CHRISTMAS TIME

Por estas fechas el año pasado estaba por viajar a New York. 

Un viaje sólo chicas, las mujeres de la familia (somos muchas, ja ja ja... mamá y cuatro hermanas) y al que se pudo sumar también la hermana de mi mamá, (que viajaba desde Argentina) y una amiga de la familia.

 VIAJE DE CHICAS A NUEVA YORK ....aún nos parece mentira !!!!!  Y sólo puedo decir una cosa, a veces por tiempo, otras por dinero, otras por falta de organización... varios son los motivos que nos alejan de cumplir ciertos sueños, pues hay que intentar dejarlos a un lado y hacerlos posible !

This time last year I was to travel to New York. 

A girls trip, just the girls of the family (we are mum and four sisters), an aunt that lives in Argentina and a girl friend of the family.

GIRLS TRIP !!!!!

 I can believe it alreday.... 

and listen, I know sometime is difficult because of money, time or just because we think is a impossible thing to do, but don´t hesitate and make your dream come true, 

it is possible  !!!!

Tuvimos mucha suerte, que nuestra tia había viajado antes y nos sirvió de guía... 7 mujeres sueltas por Nueva York pueden ser un peligro... ja ja ja !!!! 

Toda ciudad por primera vez es una aventura, hay que ir descubriendo como funciona y como moverse por ella, si tienes una persona que te ayuda, te ahorras bastante tiempo, en este viaje el tiempo no lo podíamos perder, queríamos ver todoooo y hacerlo todoooo, y aún así fue imposible, y es que a Nueva York hay que volver !!!!

Un dato importante: en el metro siempre mira bien si tu destino está DOWNTOWN o UPTOWN, sino te pierdes seguro... y si vas en grupo grande siempre salir del vagón de metro todos juntos.. ja ja ja  

We were luchy, it wasn´t the first trip to New York for our aunt, so we were guided by her fortunately...

7 women alone in New York can be dangerous... ha ha ha 

Every city is an adventure the first time you visit it, you have to discover how it works and how to move in it, so if you have someone to guided you, save you time.

 And we hadn´t time to waste so....it was perfect !

Anyway is impossible to do and see everything in a big city like New Youk in a first trip, so we have to go back !!

Tuvimos mucha suerte con el clima, hacía frío pero era soportable para poder visitar la ciudad, el último día que nos quedaba ya hacía tanto frío que habría sido muy difícil recorrerla y disfrutarla como pudismo hacer, incluso paseando por Central Park sin abrigo, con el sol calentándonos... una suerte !!! 

¿Cuántas películas no hemos visto rodadas en Central Park? 

We were luchy with the weather; it was cold but not so much. 

Just last day was really cold and it was difficult to stay outsite... even with all the winter clothes we brought with us... (gloves, wool hat, special boots, coat, scarf...)   

We went to Central Park the first day and we had a shinny sun and a beautiful weather, so we enjoy it so much... 

How many movies we have seen filmed in Central Park?

No podíamos no visitar "Strawberry Fields" memorial a John Lennon en Central Park.

Después tocaba rodearnos de rascacielos así que fuimos a recorrer, la Quinta Avenida, pasamos por el Empire State, Broadway, estuvimos haciéndonos (o intento ja ja ja... ) fotos en Rockefeller Center, nos mezclamos entre la multitud que caminaba y visitaba Times Square .... 

We went to visit the "Strawberry Fields" memorial of John Lennon, of course !!!

Then was time to go to the center of the city, with all those huge skyscraper, to the main point... Fifth Avenue, Empire State, Broadway, Rockefeller Center, Time Square...

It was really difficult not be lost in that caos, where everybody is looking up all the time ( some of this building are really impresive, they are so high !!!!), and when you look down again you have to find your group, so is important to have a wool hat or a coat in a bright color, so it will be easier.. ha ha ha

 

 

 El puente de Brooklyn, yo personalmente tenía muchísimas ganas de conocerlo....y no tiene desperdicio cruzarlo, sobre todo cuando puedes ver Manhattan desde esa perspectiva, y viendo esos rascacielos y un montón de helicópteros volando de un lado a otro, te empiezas a meter en una película, y creer que en cualquier momento vas a ver a Spider Man salvando a Mary Jane 

I was very excited to visit the Brooklyn Bridge, and it is really amazing. Yoy see Manhattan while you are crossing it, and seeing all those building and a lot of helicopters flying all around sorrounded by the sea, it is impossible not to think that in any time Spider Man will appear to save Mary Jane !!!! 

 

La Estatua de la Libertad la vimos desde un ferry, que era gratuito y que usan mucho. Si el frío te lo permite te aconsejo estés fuera donde tendrás unas vistas impresionantes !!!! 

We took a free Ferry, to see the Statue of Liberty. If is not too cold, is better to stay out so you can have these amazing views.

 

También visitamos la casa de FRIENDS.... es una zona preciosa, donde podrás ver las típicas casas de Nueva York !!

Comimos pizza, tomamos mucho café de Starbucks (el Chai Latte uno de mis preferidos mmmm ), en los que lo que me encanta es el ambiente, ver a la gente que por el frío entra se sientan allí; algunos leen un libro, otros estudian, otros trabajan desde sus ordenadores... en Londres también existe esta costumbre y me encanta !!!! es una manera de estar en compañía y que inspira mucho;   perritos calientes,  pero el último día nos sentamos en un restaurante a comer calentito y brindar por nuestro viaje. 

Y no voy a mentir, hicimos algunas compritas... ji ji ji  otro motivo por el que hay que volver, me quedaron cosas por comprar !!!

Consejo: viaja con espacio en la maleta para volver con todo lo que te compres ... ha ha ha 

Un viaje inolvidable !!!

We visited the FRIENDS house, is in a beautiful area, where you can see those tipycal New York houses, that you see in movies. 

We had pizza, a lot of Starbucks coffee (Chai Latte, my favorite one), hot dogs, and we sat down in a nice restaurant last night to have a lovely last evening to talk abourt our trip.  

I´m not going to lie, we made some shopping too. A perfect reason to go back to New York, I have some other things to buy !!!
